Overview of the Recent Database and Health-Informatics Conference Visit

Research Focus: 

In this talk, I will briefly summarize my recent  experience in attending HealthInf, EDBT, and ICDE. HealthInf is a biomedical engineering  conference with adequate health informatics focus, whereas, the latter two are database conferences. I will introduce some of the interesting papers presented in those conferences that overlap significantly with the ongoing and future research interest of the center, direct the students to some valuable tutorial and keynote talks.
Bio:
Senjuti Basu Roy is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma. Prior to joining UW in January 2012, she was a postdoctoral fellow at DIMACS at Rutgers University. Senjuti received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from UT Arlington in May 2011. Senjutiʼs primary research interests lie in the area of data and content management, analytics and exploration, health informatics, etc.
